Sounds good AJ, the current model indeed quotes as having ‘multi link w/coils’ so a very much more traditional approach

I wouldn't hesitate putting a good coilover set up on an SL 55, would love a project like that, money and time allowing

I found some KW variant 3 coilovers for the r230 (V8). They have adjustable compression and rebound and ate $2800 a set. You'd still need to add sway bars and a pump and some way to fool ABC to that. Being coilovers they should be easy to fit different springs (stiffer) if needed. Not sure how much stiffer or how much additional damping the V12 would need?

for v8 sway bars exist. and the pump that does the job is off an ml and apparently with star you can tell the system its NOT abc and no longer see warnings ect there is plenty on this on the ...other.. forum...

Its an neat little (very expensive) unit to allow lowering a car with ABC by using an ECU to fool the system into setting the height to whatever you want (upto 30mm lower). Works on SL/CL/S class by the look of it.
Still doesn't get rid of ABC mind!

well guys so far no response from vvk. which was the coil over kit as on utube sl55 so either on hol or out of bussiness. thee are others but only this one listed r230sl600. unless someone out there knows better.?

money was not bad under 4k usd, but cant seem to get a reply from vvk usa

no sweat john , still looking there is a demand for the 55 and 600 in the states just have to see subject on the ....other... site , not so much in the uk, possibly germany.will check , did you see utube on guy doing 55 in states i think i put link on here ,but can find it again.it looked a good job , small bother with front sway bar. at under4k usd then. not so bad

Yellowspeed do the complete adjustable kit for the W215 for about £850. Roll bars from a W220 are peanuts as is the steering pump. ABC warnings can be coded out by STAR.

had reply from vvk in usa, they say they are making the kits 500,55,600 r230 again tried pasting his mail,cant ,will just pass his conact i have asked for customer info on the kit fitting and after fitting performance will find a way to add that here .LK how come i cant copy .paste email repies here ?
