It's good stuff , a bit harder to buff off than some waxes but has some serious beading when it's on .

If you look at Collinite you'll see the various waxes are used for anything from car detailing to high voltage insulation..

If you want something easy to buff use Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax, literally the easiest Wax to use I have ever applied

I love Collinite, use the 476 by hand and the 845 with the DA

Collinite is really good, can't say I have used 476, however I have used collinite 845 as follows:-

Wash, clay bar, wash, Klasse All In One, followed by Klasse sealant glaze used Autoglym quick detailer to removed Klasse AIO and SG, finally put Collinite 845, this gave outstanding shine and lasted for at least 9 months.

After the application I only did a regular wash which in my case is once a month. Most friends though I had my car in a body shop i.e. re-sprayed!

Hard work took me a full day to do the entire car, but the result..... amazing!

I used the 476 exclusively and love it.

Beads like a mofo and lasts ages. Hard to buff off if left too long though ;)

Just used Collonite 476s double wax on my wheels.

The good:
Excellent product looks fabulous, leaves a dry waxy finished feel. Ideal water repellant, and wont attract dust like say AG Super Gloss does.
Hopefully it lasts longer.
The Bad:
Just realised how much money I wasted on Autoglyms red Super Resin. BTW did a double coat of AG SR, then AG super Gloss, that comb lasted 2 weeks nicely, washed once a week with weak ph neautral AG shampoo. Thought it looked a bit worn off so last week washed and put on one coat of AG SR.
This week washed it and the polish seemed to have gone!

OK AG SR is not bad at cleaning off contaminates and filling a bit I guess ... but Collonite 476s is the way to go.

Q. If I clay it using Megruares and their detailer spray , does it need AG SR and then Collonite or will it bond better straight after Claying?

Q I notice some people advocate washing after claying. Is that a big benefit?, as in this hardwater area you would need to polish it after that to be sure the panel was clean!

Q is it worth putting the tin in hot water first! Just below top seal.?

Just had to try it on a section of the body. Superb result! Just have to do the whole thing.

I have used colinite 916 and 475S in the past, which one in the forums opinion is best, not sure myself.

The 845 is meant for light coloured cars.

Carl did post a while back a breakdown of what product is meant for what. V interesting.

I started using collinite a couple years ago, and won't use anything else but now. I found the best way to use it is applying it with a application sponge, lightly mist the panel with water, apply the collinite, go onto the next panel, and apply, then remove from the first panel. Work around the car like that. I cleaned my friends black transit work van as a bet, it hadn't been washed for 2 years, and after a wash, and quick whizz round with pdi polish, and a coat of collinite, even after 4 months it still looks great, and the water still beads up nicely. Obviously this is my personal choice.
