Command Buttons not working

Hi all - very odd and hope someone can help. Got in the car yesterday, (e class, 11 plate with command) and when I pressed the button on the left to change to Nav, nothing happened and same when I pressed the radio button.

All works fine with the rotary dial

Even more odd, if the radio is on and I press the Nav button, the radio changes from fm to am and other button presses have similar random effects.

Any ideas?

Again, there is software updates to comand to be done to fix bugs like this, but we have also had to send a few units away to be repaired.

Thanks - seems more likely to be a problem with the unit since it is about 2 months since I did the 2018 map upgrade and was working fine until a few days ago

Remove earth lead from the battery for a couple of minutes and then reconnect it. Forces the unit to completely reset.
