I've been trying to post a wanted ad in the classifieds for a boot lid but all it keeps telling me is that I need a prefix. Despite another member advising me that there should be a drop down to choose what sort of ad I want to place there isn't one and it won't let me post!!!!!!!!!!

It's a damn wanted ad for heavens sake, it's not as if I'm trying to scam someone by selling them something, I ant to try and buy a boot lid!

Click the little arrow in the top by prefix and choose wanted.

Do you see something like this if you go to post in the classified section?

I have clicked the downward pointing arrow where the word Prefix has now been replaced by "Wanted"

Click the little arrow in the top by prefix and choose wanted.

Malcolm are you able to screenshot that on here as I can't see anything saying prefix or a drop down option? It says I may post new threads yet I can't see the option you're referring to? :( :( :(

See Post# 5 and check out the attachment.
I clicked the word prefix and chose Wanted so you can see what should happen.

Top line says "No Prefix" just to the right there is a black arrow, click on that and the menu drops down, then choose wanted.

Scroll down until you see Spares for sale or wanted ( Its 4th up from the bottom) Click on it and then on New Thread then you will see Prefix to the left of your 'type in' box

Thank you for all your advice on how to do this if one of them actually worked I wouldn't be needing to post this. Despite numerous attempts to post this every single one has failed. It continually says I need to enter a prefix yet absolutely nowhere does it give me the option to do so!!!!!

Daft question but what browser are you using, I found with earlier versions of IE I would often loose the outline of boxes or even the text or drop down.

IE! Wash your mouth out Matty. Does anyone still use this dinosaur browser for home use?
Chrome all the way for me.

I get what your all trying to tell me but that box just isn't there, when I click on new thread it only gives me a title box with nothing beside it. Yet I get the drop down menu option when I posted an item under seen on ebay???

As for which browser I'm using I assume it's IE as I just click the blue e logo at the bottom of my screen, out of curiosity I just tried logging using Google Chrome and it was no different. It's so damn frustrating as I only wanted to see if anybody had a solver boot lid for sale!!!

Post a screenshot of what you see after clicking "new thread" in the for sale and wanted section please.
What you describe just shouldn't happen in any browser I have tried including IE, Edge, Firefox and Chrome.

AMGeed this is what I get, even if I hover the mouse next to the title box there's nothing indicating there's another box next to it?
