Hi all,

I've just bought a 2008 CLC 1.8 Kompressor and am trying to connect my phone inside so that i can make and receive calls.

I have something in the middle of the centre console which takes a sim card. i have ordered a pay as you go sim and stuck that in there but nothing is happening. I am following the manual as well as I can but some steps are missed out. I have turned my bluetooth on my phone but it doesn't pick anything up.

Sometimes it comes up with processing then it doesn't. The manual says it should ask for a pin but it doesn't. I will include some pictures of my set up because I've googled it but it only comes up with the newer version of the radio head.

Please can someone help and let me know how to get my phone connected.

Ahhh yes. It uses an old protocol which iPhones do not support. You need the HFP module which new is close to £300 if you want to work bluetooth. Some android phones may support the SAP connection but don’t know which ones as I am an iPhone user.
Options are limited. Need to see if you can pick up a decently priced HFP module on eBay if you want to work that.
Something like this will do the job:

That's a nightmare. thank you for that. I have a spare samsung which I could try to connect and then set my iphone to call forwarding. if anyone tries to call me whilst driving i can let it divert through to the Samsung which should then connect to the bluetooth. I will try that and update the thread :) thank you

I'm going to try and divert my iphone through to a samsung that I can connect. I certainly don't want to spend that money on a HFP.

I had a saved search on eBay for two months and none came up.
Bit the bullet.
Seen a couple come up since.
Not that common.
If you are happy to do without and wait......
