Can anyone throw me a price of swirl flap removal and actuator mod please.

Spoken to a garage this morning whom say they would consider the repair depending on costs.
Or they will just do a replacement and put a new motor in and new swirls......

Give Steve at Avantgarde Mercedes (Clevedon near Bristol ) a ring , he is a well respected Indy , as are MBS in Southampton .

The job itself is not specialised, and any reasonable mechanic could do it.
It is labour intensive though, so MB prices would make it stupidly expensive.
It is also a possible diy job, depending on your level of skill, time and facilities.

C270's are easy, you remove the starter motor and then 3 bolts to undo to remove the motor.

Nothing near as difficult as a V6.

The trader I purchased the car from has put it in their garage whom found the swirl arm had snapped, so a new manifold has been ordered and being put on next week. I'm hoping now that's being done, the egr is spotless and a service ( I doubt the fuel filter been changed in ages ) I should get some decent performance and mpg out the old girl :0)
