I don't look at mine either, I have it concealed behind my rear view mirror.

dont look at mine either, just listen for sound that its fired up on starting ,its behind mirror on a class. i intend to get another for the rear , and a replacement mirror type for the sl. surely these will be built into mirrors by the makers soon , i suspect some agreement has to lapse first with existing makers . . incidently , i did not splash out for the permenant in car wiring kit , i opened up the fag lighter adaptor and soldered the existing board via a 3 amp fuse to the back of the lighter harness.
