Only that I can now see what I am about to hit, hence the camera's now:rolleyes:

So you want to prove that you hit all those cars ?

On a different subject, I think you were right about the cicadas on the videos - they're not there when the camera runs on its internal battery* or on the cigar-lighter cable. So it must come through the USB cable.

Strange - it wasn't an "interference" sort of sound.

* These have an internal battery that is claimed to last 10 minutes.

Very useful for showing the Constable exactly how you managed to hit 4 cars in 3 minutes ;)

Interference and ground loop are the plague on motor cars, never ever coil up any spare wires, they may a perfect inductor.

Depending upon the quality (which looks promising at the moment) I am seriously thinking of getting another to use as a "driveway cam" after my recent missing trim incident.
Hopefully it will have a movement detector mode?

Boxbrownie, what do you use those tiny little cameras for and how good are they?

They are used (or were) for recording various aspects of vehicle testing, suspension movement, engine rock, FEAD belt flap, water wading and ingress etc etc.
Quality in the 90s was 480lines now they are available with HD quality, the lens and head were connected to a camera control unit about the size of a betamax cassette, the lead was up to 30metres long. All lit using fibre optic or very early white LED technology.

As an aside the inspection cameras you see now that are used for jet engine inspection/medical observation and for a much lesser price (and quality) availlable in places like Maplin/Aldi with camera one end and display at the control end were developed originally for the military, northern Ireland was awash with booby traps in buildings and cars, the small cameras could be slipped under and through door/window gaps to view the other side and what was waiting there!
All developed by KeyMed in Southend......now owned by Olympus.

I finished my install with the Sony, very pleased with it and very good in the dark.
I do not know how to get the clips up here, I have all the files. It looks larger than it is from the inside, but you can see how small it is from the outside. I do not notice it any more :D:D

Did you not get the GPS add on? I see only the power connected. Also with ensuring you have the right software on your pc for seeing the footage.
But yes..very neat job...

Yes I have the power antenna but the lead is so long I am going to shorten; I have a little tiny clear patch on the screen under the cars built in camera. That is the next job.

For anyone working on the 221 or 226 and you want to hide any wires, the air bag badge just levers out and the A pillar trim pulls inward and out, the end panels come off the dash so that you can get all the way down.

The bracket holding the camera I shortened it, by cutting it down and drilling new mounting holes.

I can play back on my computer no problem :D
