Hi, I have got the new differential pressure sensor complete with new hoses etc to replace on a MB Viano 2011 W639 2.2 cdi. Could anyone please advise where I can find some guides for this job? I want to do it myself to save on the labour and know that the job is done right, which I try top do on every job for my cars, servicing included. But I always try to find some manual or info in advance to help me along the way. The DPF has been acting up lately with the engine management light coming on from time to time and car just went into limp mode today for a journey. The dealers checked it and said the sensor needed changing. Would appreciate any hints or help. Cheers.

I have no manual for you, but its held in with 1 TX20 bolt, 2 pipe clamps..it couldn't be easier.
Hi Steve. I finally got round to replacing the sensor. Took a bit of time as those hose clips are really awkward to fasten. I replaced the sensor and the two hoses. However, the Engine Management Light is still on. The car isnt in limp mode but its really annoying that the change of the sensor hasnt resolved the issue. Should I get it resent to see if it makes a difference or do you think it may be a blocked DPF at this stage? Thanks in advance for any advice.

A few days after replacing the sensor, the light went off and hasn´t reappeared. So happy with having done this job, as the car is running super smooth again. The difference is enormous. I recommend anyone to do this if they have dpf issues. The mpg has improved also. Really chuffed to bits. Now for removing a siezed front brake disc..................

2014 639 Viano- 651, 5sp Auto. 2009 S211- 646, 5sp Auto.
Under bonnet, rear of and above exhaust on o/s firewall.

Check the wiring to it. It can come in contact with the exhaust and melt the cores.

O/s for UK, but above exhaust in any case.
After all it is monitoring the exhaust.

Looking from under the bonnet left side.
Mounted on the back of a steel mounting plate and has two hoses going down towards the DPF.
