Good evening all.

I have very recently had an issue (last week or so) that when driven hard my car has started to pop the dipstick out about a cm or so from the tube. No oil appears to be escaping.
I had a new PCV valve in the middle of last year (as the old one had split in two and was dripping oil and venting to atmosphere) and it must have been like that for a while, so that should be good now unless it could be faulty? Is that possible with it only being 6 months old?

That was followed by a new rear main crank seal a few months later (that I reckon started to leak due to higher crank pressures after the valve was changed).

I should also add that I recently had some remedial work done for P0019 and P0024 - "B" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 2) error , that needed a replacement exhaust cam actuator and solenoid/sensor etc. Could it be related to that work?
Or am I just seeing that my crank is 'the most sealed it has been for a while' with a new rear main crank seal and PCV valve and this is just one of those things?

I do check under my bonnet weekly and it only seems to have started happening after the remedial work was done.

Car is going in for an oil change on Friday, any ideas?

Also co-incidentally I have found that my canister purge valve has seemingly stopped working. It was easy to tell when it was working before, by just putting our fingers on it and feeling it ticking.
I replaced it about two years ago due to poor starting when full. Do they go bad this quickly normally?

The motor doesn't use any oil that I am aware of and there is no coolant emulsion around the filler cap or suchlike. Performance is extremely good.
Cheers.
