E300 Coupe Rattling Roof

I am taking my wife's 6 month old E300 Coupe into the dealer next week to sort out the bag of nails which is rattling away merrily. The car has a very large sunroof and the rattle disappears entirely when the roof is open - unless we just can't hear it with the roof open, but pretty certain it is this.

I seem to remember the so-called panoramic roof in E Class saloons (W211/W212??) being referred to scathingly as panorattle roofs some years ago so wondering if this is the same issue. And what was the fix?

My 212 has no rattles at all....

The early Jag XJs with Pano roofs had exactly the same issue, resolved in later models, might be worth a look on their forum..

Fixed.

Sunroof mechanism "re-greased" under warranty. All now quiet.
