E300 Hybrid Engine Injector Issue

My car is 64 reg. suddenly engine transmission light came up recently in a traffic signal, since then it is rough idling and poor engine performance, breakdown assist suspect one of the engine injector issue, car currently with dealer awaiting diagnostic assessment for the last 4 days!
Car is just out of warranty - 39, 400 miles, 42months old - bought brand new.
Is this a common issue? will Benz consider this as a manufacturing problem?, many thanks for your replies.

We have one in now, managed to get it done under warranty. Depends on injector type and fault.

Thanks - below is copy of RAC assessment - if that helps

'connected the vehicle to Star and performed a quick test to confirm injector on cylinder 1 was
at fault, a guided test would suggest a possible software update as a solution but softewar was up to date so TIP's checked and
found G107.16-P-052428.'

If it’s what we think it is, my 63 plate E300 Hybrid had all the injectors replaced ‘just in case’ - ok the car was only 18 months old but it’s a known issue
