I had my E Class remapped yesterday in Glasgow by a Celtic running dealer. I found the service pretty good, and they managed the remap in just under 2 hours.

The claimed power after the remap is around 265hp and although I haven't had it dyno'ed I would say that if feels about right possibly with a little more power than that.

I tested the 0-60 before and after, before the best j managed was 7s and after I managed 5.9s so there is definitely an increase in power and torque. So far I've had no issues, the engine is keeping temperature and the gearbox is coping fine with the extra power. Obviously I haven't driven it very far in a way that I can tell if it's any better on fuel, but the few times I've driven it while resisting the power it seems to be at least the same as before if not a little bit more efficient.

I also had them delete the egr while I was there so the intake doest soot up anymore.

You're a very naughty boy for tempting me to spend money on doing the same thing with Golden Rod..............

You should do it, it's well worth it, I would say it's a little smoother too. It was £360 at the dealer I went to but I think that can change a bit depending on the dealer

I did remap on my s211 320cdi with 150kW and 500Nm twice. One time without dyno, and it felt that it add some power, and after a year when i used to it, went to other guys with dyno test. So they measured and found 155kW and 510Nm, so i asked to add a bit more but in safe range. Testes again and now i have 170kW and 550Nm. and only for 100 eur Happy :)

I've had a quote from one of the remappers on this forum already, same ballpark. I just have a house to buy first :S
