W212 is the saloon, like mine ...Estate can be S212...

Okay.. So the "facelift" E350 coupe is C207 when I'm looking for parts?

That's the one, I couldn't remember if it was an A or a C (50% chance of being correct), it is a W204 chassis with W212 bits bolted on (confused yet).

Its in the plans. At the moment I want to try and smarten the look of the car, get used to driving an auto and all the additional little bits it has, then its GAD time lol

Wrong way round .

All the badges and chrome strip along the bottom of the doors will come off using a hairdryer so that is easy.

Badges went the day I got it lol, I don't have chrome along the bottom of the doors though. All chrome around the windows and on boot is being wrapped black to get rid too!

No, right at the moment it's a fetching shade of pigeon ****. A- ****ing - gain. The whole car did look chromed it was so shiny, well for a day.

If you open the side doors, down the back edge there is a stainless finisher the same width as the thickness of the door. It isn't body metal coloured. Very neat!

First thing to happen was removal of the badges.. purely because they were chrome also!
