E350 spare wheel well

Hi guys,

Quick question, is there a foam insert that is supposed to fit between the spare wheel and the boot carpet in a 2010 e class coupe? Reason I ask is I don’t have one and suitcases in the summer has put a bow in the boot carpet board.

There isn't in my 2009 E class , I have often thought the same with heavy objects in the boot . Should be pretty easy to put a plastic tool box or hard foam in there if you need a quick DIY fix without adding unnecessary weight .

Ok, thanks for that, I thought as much. Not great design then. I’ll look about some hardboard to make a frame to help support the boot mat a little better.
