Had what could have been a very scary problem.
In very heavy traffic not going very fast on a straight piece of motorway yesterday when the engine just cut out & all the dash lights came on. Luckily I could pull over. Going quicker, or around a corner could have been very different.
Tried to start again & the engine wouldn't turn over - no clicks, nothing. Tried locking & unlocking the car with the same result.
Error codes extracted at the roadside didn't point to anything other than mass air filter or high exhaust temp.
Roadside, recovery driver tried resetting codes, checked any fuses, disconnected & reconnected battery. All the same result.
Any ideas please. This sounds as if it could get expensive & potentially difficult to diagnose.
