My Daughters partner has asked me to go down to North London with him to look at this :-

Is there anything that we should pay special attention to and is anybody aware of the dealers reputation and integrity as they are at least 100 miles from him. Don't want Warren to be shafted !!

Never heard of the dealer, but then not sure I should have!
If I was buying such a new car though I’d be leaning towards within the network if at all possible- that said I didn’t but had done my homework.

Lots of E43s at MB dealers for less money so I’m guessing he really wants the spec on this car, it’s generally how specialist car dealers operate sourcing the best spec available. Personally I’d want to talk to the previous owner just to make sure the car is 100% before I’d spend that amount of cash outside MB dealerships

He is very keen on the spec of that car Malcolm. Are you saying that it is too dear, he did say to me to-day that he had been watching the car for about 7/8 weeks, that may be the reason ?

The thing that turned him on to that particular example John was firstly the spec, the fact that it was Obsidian Black with the black trim with the red stitching, which may be standard with black trim ?

It does look very well turned out Andy for sure. Slight hesitation is someone let it go so soon, why?
It won't likely have had any services so warranty won’t be an issue which would be a comfort

It does have a sunroof, it is part of the premium plus package. It is an impressive spec list but on close examination, most of it is standard, except for COMAND and the 12.3" 'digital dash' screen. At almost £49k, has he looked at the price of a brand new one with suitable on line discount (DTD, CarWOW etc)? He might be surprised!

Definitely go new with that budget, I think the one I linked to had 150 miles on it, MB dealerships appear to have around 10 or so nearly new <£50k

Not yet, he is just waiting for a deal to wash out. Any day now apparently

58k is the list- as you say carwow would strike a deal....

£58k is probably list for the basic car. The premium plus package comes in around £4k so £62k total, not sure if COMAND etc is still extra on that model. Important thing is how big a discount can you get on the new car + possibly cheaper finance if that is the way he is going.

Just an update, I did try and persuade him to buy an MB but he turned up this morning In a Jaguar XF 3.0d Premium Luxury in Black and a broad grin. Nice car with a pretty full spec.
