EIS Removal

Hi Folk's just removed my EIS from the Vehicle for sending away for repair ,but once taken out you can't lock the car ? how do you get around this anyone know ?

Lock each door with the key itself?

Only lock is on the Drivers door remove the skeleton key but won't lock or unlock even with the EIS in situ

The lock is probably seized form lack of use..

^ yes this - good squirt of GT85 in the locks to free them then hopefully they will be useable

I ended up Putting the ESI Module back in Then locking the car using the key fob then unlocking drivers using the emergency key opening rear drivers door then shutting drivers door reaching in locking drivers door by pushing the button down then the same on the back door,i forgot i took the ESI out before i locked Drivers door,ESI now sent off for repair,its no good following the YouTube videos it didn't work so i done what i should have done first and got the Owners Manual out

EIS now repaired by johnnySBC and back in all working good now, very quick turnaround by johnny 1st Class service from him will be using him in the future most defo
