I have a w124 1989 230e petrol. When the fuel gauge drops below half the needle flickers between half and a quarter empty. As the needle is flickering the fuel light comes on. When more fuel is added rhe light goes off and the needle goes back up.
My question is, is it the sender in the tank ? something electrical ? or something to do with the gauge in the binacle ?
