There is no way those OBD2 devices will do anything to improve fuel efficiency. Please don't bother.

About as good as those magnets you put around the fuel pipe or a "stromberg spark booster". The spark booster has been around (unchanged) since the '60s and they are still suckering people out of their money.

Read the reveiws. Someone tested one on youtube and it is just some flashing LEDs :D
But flashing LED’s are cool and improve anything in any application.

Hi All, Being The proud owner of a W211 E320cdi Cdi Avantguarde, I absolutely love the car, apart from the Fuel Economy! Only about 22/23 Locally, and 28/29 On a run!
I have been tempted to try one of the Advertised Fuel Savers, That you plug in to the OBD port, but have varying reports of their worth!
Has anybody tried one on this model? And did it work for you??
If not, has anyone got any fuel saving Tips!
Thankyou
Eddie

Hi Eddie,

I used to run a CLS320, and on my regular commutes (dual carriageway mostly, few twisties at the end), I would see high 30s mpg quite readily.

As has been said, a good service will deliver far better returns for you than any of these devices.
