No, Corbyn.... do try to keep up dear boy....
The description would fit either. That waste of space and EU money Farage isn't in the running anyway as he probably can't face losing again.

Or has achieved his objectives.......

Arguably the most successful politician for a long time his one ambition, Britain out of the UK he has achieved, and whatever your side you can't argue it was one of the biggest moments politically for decades.

Thatchers changes to society and possibly Blairs re elections maybe are up there.

Soon to be upstaged by Sir Tim Farron strolling into Downing Street after a decisive win in the General Election, who wants us back in ?
Or could it be Lord Jesus Corbyn with his newly appointed Chancellor and consort Lady Abbott ?

Never say never, Macron came from no where...............

There's another thread been started entitled "Tories and Policy" and it says all of the above. I just raised the question of the seemingly impossible: -

First, my opinion of Corbyn has been that he has condemned the Labour Party to ten years in the political wilderness.
- But having seen May stuttering and stammering when interviewed yesterday, my feelings were confirmed that she is not for me.

Strangely, I've seen Corbyn talking in "election mode" a couple of times over the last week and I've been surprised how he can
actually talk with passion. So... just as I thought that despite every pointer saying "no" I thought that maybe Trump would win in USA, I'm now beginning to wonder if the seemingly impossible might happen and Mrs Maybe might lose out due to one u-turn too many. And then I wonder, given his socialist status would Corbyn get on with the EU people and actually handle Brexit negotiations successfully? I suppose it's all too far fetched really...

I admit I don't like her - but I really feel sure now that if Maybe remains in charge, the EU negotiators will walk all over her.
- Another thought is that I've seen broad hints in the media that she wants Hammond out...
- Question: Alternatively, is Maybe safe enough to survive until the election?

I have not seen the TM interview but I do like her, it does not worry me that she may not be the best at this it's her intentions and the way she carries them out that matter to me.

Tony Blair was superb being interviewed but we now know he was duplicitous.

Jeremy is the darling of the left but the majority of the labour vote seems lost for now.

Election soon, lets see how it goes.

I found the interview - it's available for replay

You're quite right about Tony B Liar. Especially at the beginning when he sounded like a Tory. I remember SWMBO being dazzled and I got "the silent treatment" when I told her that he and his cronies would be as bad or worse than the Tories once they got their noses in the trough!

Just watched the interview, not good but TBH whenever any politician is being interviewed I take what they say with a pinch of salt.

Regardless I could not vote for any of the other leaders as their policies do not meet what I personally want at this moment.

I have voted Labour in the past, I did so on Tony Blairs first election, I could not vote for Tim Farron as his policies are not to my liking.

I should like the Green Party as I love our environment but their policies are or seem so counter to each other.

Once Labour get a decent leader who inspires then who knows.

The Greens aren't Greens, they're a Labour/ Leftie/ Progressive Liberal false flag operation. Here, in Europe and across the pond.

Well the Tories are losing their lead now - one poll has shown Labour have halved the Conservatives' lead to 9 percentage points. Mrs Maybe called a snap election hoping for a landslide victory.... but it seems the voters aren't all that happy with her "Dementia Tax".

Maybe has faced criticism over her planned social care reforms, which boil down to dropping the triple-lock, means testing annual heating allowance and making elderly homeowners pay even more towards their old-age care if they have the cheek to have been frugal and bought their home/saved money for their old age and/or children. I knew all along that I should have "hissed" it up against a wall!

So now OAPs, having paid (yes, I know - like everybody else) to put the banks thieving right and getting (virtually) no interest on their savings for the last 7-8 years, are now in for bigger squeezes. So it's no surprise the Tories are losing points although she will probably still get a majority.

But either way Theresa will be okay with her earnings of £143,462 plus rent-free accommodation and allowances; (which means she can rent out their home) plus a pension accruing at the rate of 1/40th or 1/50th of final pensionable salary for each year of pensionable service along with the very generous Resettlement Grant.
- But that's okay because she's a "special" person.

Today, (millionaire) Bumbling Boris said the cutbacks: "are necessary ... we have to do something about the huge costs of social care" - So speaks another Minister with the safety of a minister's pay and allowances plus another nice fat MPs pension in his pocket!
- But he's a very special person too - here's an article about his massive income as far back as 2012:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/boris-johnson-earnings-shock-how-782803

You omit to mention Corbyn lives in a house thats worth over £1M, went to private school and also has earnings of £143,000 pa. He also gets the same pension rights.

I have no issue with MP's being paid a fair salary after all they take on a job everyone else moans about, they get criticised no matter what they do and also face hatred and risks to their lives. I do though think attendance in the house should be tighter controlled. Take Gordon Brown for example, barely ever turned up. There are others too.

Even an ex-council house in London is worth over a million these days.
Of more relevance perhaps is the family home he grew up in:

Sold for around £650k last year.

That's a typical working class house.

Trouble is how can Corbyn be trusted on the world stage if he wins when he won't even condemn the IRA?

Very nice.

Not being funny, but 650k seems cheap for a house of that size and character.
