2003 w203 220cdi

Basically
After I changed the injectors engine smoked on start up badly and just well smoked in general, no power and lumpy noisy. Took to mercedes specialist , he said all the new injectors were bad. on the Short drive home all HELL broke loose, the engine suddenly spooled up, i pulled over and it kept running even when I turn the key off, stalled it by putting in gear and engine shut down, Huge cloud of white smoke, got videos of it too luckily. white smoke continued coming out of the exhaustwhen it wasn't running.

Did you change the injectors yourself?

so all the injectors u fitted were no good....

refurb lot a bunch of animals? when the bloke said they were at fault he should have pointed out the risk.
don't get why mercs run on, take the key out should turn off the fuel feed to the injectors so it doesn't keep going

You’d think but guess till the fuel in the cylinder ran out and it just keeps going. Trouble is now do I spend cash on injectors from another company not knowing if the engines stuffed. Mercedes specialist did a diagnostic said they were crap injector. On route back it went out of control

Check your oil level, it could well be the injectors have leaked into the engine badly, bringing the oil level up, the engine then picks up the oil and runs itself to destruction if you cannot stop it, lucky you were not an auto box.
I have witnessed this twice, once on a Motorway with a van, large bang in the end, and other was with a Landrover Defender TD5, of which the owner had already been warned.

I doubt the rubaway is directly an injector fault as the key will turn off the supply of fuel so an injector even stuck open will run out of fuel and stop the engine.
This sounds like diesel runaway (which may have as said above been caused by bad injectors dumping fuel in the sump) and causing the runaway indirectly.
Drain the oil, refill with fresh and restart it. If it runs OK for a couple of minutes stop the engine and sort the injector issues.

It would all depend on how "out of control" it went before you stalled it. If it just rev'ed hard for a few seconds, and then was stopped, may well be all good.
Do as LOSTKIWI suggests, its good advice

Thanks all it’s much appreciated. I don’t think it was that long. I have a video of it. Though was a lot of panic dash views and more audio than anything else. Don’t think I can upload it though.

We don't know how much was burnt off. Sniff it. If it smells of diesel thats the problem.

What was the reason for changing all the injectors in the first place.
And why not return them to who ever reconditioned them or did you do them yourself ?

One injector has started with the Black Death. Another had been replaced at some points as was a bit mangled which had to have been a second hand one . So I decided to do all 4 with reconditioned ones as I though might as well do it right. I can send a video if anyone can offer advice.,it’s to big to load here or can what’s app it? Lots off clack clack clack , spooled up for about 8-10seconds . I shut it down using 3rd gear, white cloud and white smoke from exhaust after shut down.

This is a headache. Injectors 0445110174
2003 Mercedes w203
So car running Like crap and as I said took to MERCEDES SPECIALIST . I asked him if they needed coding and he said not for this car. The main reason I took it there was because I thought they did.
I spoke with PF jones today and they said yes they need coding., I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. I originally took it to a so called specialist for coding? Then got a diagnostic instead . Told injectors. Stuck scratching my head in France not knowing what’s going on.
Also
Can’t smell any diesel when I remove oil cap.
