Hi All - 2017 C Class - Unknown symbol on Infotainment unit

Hi All,

New to this forum.
I have a 2017 Mercedes C Class which i have had from new. Yesterday when i switched on the car a symbol i have never seen before appeared on the infotainment unit. It was a car symbol with blue lines coming out of the top of the car.

I drove the car for two hours and the symbol did not disappear. It is there again today - see image below. The symbol is to the top of the image and to the right hand side of the time.

Any idea what this is. Cant find anything in the manual.

thanks - did not realise the car had that capability as its the basic infotainment until, not the Command one. if that's what it is, i'll need to figure how to switch it off.

not sure, but DAB has been working for the last year. Do not understand why symbol would appear for the first time yesterday

ok thanks - will keep trying to get to the bottom of it. very strange to switch itself on after 14 months with the car

I was going to say "Ejector seat enabled", but I think the others might be right.

I have this on mine, pretty sure it denotes the car is connected to Mercedes with the inbuilt com card.

It works with MercedesMe and in theory allows Mercedes to send updates or check the health of car plus informs when service is due that is why Mercedes customer service can and do on occasion ask if you would like them to book a service for you.

Its Mercedes me! I had it on mine as its free for the 1st 3 years then you have to pay for it, I decided its not worth it for me and its now disappeared from the display. You also have a text message, scroll up to phone then down to messages and it will display the text
