I am looking at a 2009 E350 black but it has 95000 miles but a FMBSH. I havent any real experience with these engines and wondered if I should have any concerns at this amount of miles or anything I should be Checking.

Thanks in dvance

Presumably diesel? My experience of these, oil cooler seals are a likely risk at that mileage. Torque converters can require replacement circa 120-140k too. Then injector seals and egr valves, swirl motors, all the common issues. I look after a couple of taxis with this spec, and they are closing on 200k now with engines that have not been opened. 95k would not concern me at all.

Welcome Craig!

The OM642 engine has been in production since 2005 in various guises and is a very reliable unit. There are owners on here that are running >200k mile examples so the the answer to your question is that properly maintained they are robust and reliable to circa 300k. You may have trouble with ancillaries to get to that mileage but it’s the same with all cars. Common failures are thermostats <100k and some not many suffer from oil cooler leaks so do have the car inspected for that before purchase (£500 fix, 95% of which is labour)

Good luck with your search!

At that mileage I'd not worry, I bought my E350 om642 with 76k on it a couple of months ago will pass 81k next week. Thermostat is a real liklyhood at that age and yes the turbo seals need to be checked. Have it inspected by an Indy before purchase and you should be good.

Well I've only done the last 15k or so. I can see it's had a new turbo at some point, nothing else obvious, but who knows, nothing too catastrophic as I imagine it would have been scrapped!

This is a very common problem, I had mine done in January, 2 x £4 parts and 6-8 hours labour, you need to get under the car and check the rear of the engine undertray for any signs of oil
