Is there any difference on a steepish drive to parking nose in or out?

Personally I'd normally choose to park nose uphill for the simple reason most parking brakes work more effectively that way.

We viewed a house a few years ago in Mid Wales. Mountainous but stunning house. I'd not long had the 207. The drive was SO steep that driving onto it (or trying to) from the very narrow road caused one side of the front of the car to lift off the ground as it turned onto the drive! Could not be done without scraping the front valance, which I was unwilling to do! Beautiful house with stunning views over the Welsh countryside but needless to say, we didn't offer on it. Probably could have had it, but would have had to buy a highly sprung SUV! Certainly not sir! Now that was a steep drive!
