I have the same version... a week after I bought it, they introduced a newer, more powerfull version, the MB V2. It allows you to do some work on the DPF. And it only costs about £35 more ( £135.00 ) So might be worth the extra to get the newer model. For the moment, I am very happy with the older one....it allows a lot of access, and functions, but does not allow you to dig too deeply into the system and make changes. Making changes with these scanners is a job best left to the experts, I'm happy enough to do a regular scan, clear stored faults, and if it throws a code, I make a note of it and ask the experts ( this forum ) :) I have attached a screen grab of the last update, which was in Jan this year...and nothing since. Check it with the update you are getting with yours....There are complaints about the lack of updates, but not much feedback from the suppliers...…. :(

i980 can't test anything. It just reports.
Are you sure you're not thinking of live data? If so the MB-II should do that.
