As new condition only a few months old and has had very little use. Has had latest upgrades.
I have the same version... a week after I bought it, they introduced a newer, more powerfull version, the MB V2. It allows you to do some work on the DPF. And it only costs about £35 more ( £135.00 ) So might be worth the extra to get the newer model. For the moment, I am very happy with the older one....it allows a lot of access, and functions, but does not allow you to dig too deeply into the system and make changes. Making changes with these scanners is a job best left to the experts, I'm happy enough to do a regular scan, clear stored faults, and if it throws a code, I make a note of it and ask the experts ( this forum ) I have attached a screen grab of the last update, which was in Jan this year...and nothing since. Check it with the update you are getting with yours....There are complaints about the lack of updates, but not much feedback from the suppliers...….
Thanks for the reply and advice Jim. The updates on my machine are the same as on your attachment.
I don't suppose either of you know where to find , testing glow plugs is on the mb2 ?
Pretty sure it doesn't have that functionality.
Yeah. That's what I think also. Pretty naff when I want to Check mine ,yet the i980 does .
Does it .... I'll have to have a play. I just used a multimeter
I've seen it done in common rail function. Let me know will ya. I might downgrade
i980 can't test anything. It just reports.
Are you sure you're not thinking of live data? If so the MB-II should do that.
Yeah. It reports any glow plug problems . the mb2 doesn't. Just to clarify.
