I've had the 280E in 'dry dock' for the past six weeks whilst teaching my son to drive. I bought a Renault Megane off Ebay - £630 for a 100k mile 2001 Y-plate 1.8 - just as a temporary 'Dad's driving school' car.
The Megane is a perfectly worthy vehicle, and I've been running around in it just to make sure it's okay (44mpg is a bit of a bonus, too!).
But this morning I thought I'd take the W124 to work. An altogether more relaxing experience, which I'd somewhat forgotten about :Oops:
