Evenin' all, like to know if i have the correct ignition timing set on my engine.
It has the seven position rotary switch and it is set to position 1.
Is this the correct setting for regular(95 octane ) unleaded fuel?
Engine is M960.111 in a 220te(1993).
much appreciate any replies,phil.:D

I never noticed any difference on the one that I had where ever I set the switch the lowest setting would be for countries with 92 mainly in the eastern block that was. I will try and check for you.

My car has the M111961 engine and the switch is set at position 1, it still has the factory wiring seal over the switch so I can only assume this is the original setting.

yes ,mine has been tampered with but set to pos 1.I will assume at the moment that this is set to 95 octane. But why does it need this control when it has all the engine sensors and electronic engine managment??phil.
