perhaps someone with experience could advise me on the stuff needed to recalibrate diesel injectors after reconditioning.

I'm seeing carsoft software on ebay really cheap, will this do?
an OBDII cable to 16 pin convertor?
some kind of interface?

me and my smokin' 108 appreciate it!

Hi and welcome, most firms that do the re conditioning get them back to a near enough figure, big trouble with a pirate car soft is getting them working

all one has to do is to enter the number on the injector to the ECU port

...so are you saying it's better to go to a garage, regardless of cost because there's problems with carsoft? (i'm not sure why the fact it's pirated - if indeed it is, would make any diff though)

thanks for the welcome!

Carsoft from Carsoft is £2.6k the Ebay versions have no back up, and I do not know anyone who has got one working or the correct interface

okay, thanks. I did read of someone on here doing the recalibration themselves (user: pcsoft, pcexpert or something like that). the thread didn't give me the impression he was a 'pro'.

is there *any* economical alternative to a garage or carsoft?

On all of the forums around the world I do not think that I have seen a successful out come with these things, reading is one thing and adjustments are another

This shouldn't cost alot, the engines i work on we use a lap top with an interface and it takes about 10mins tops to put the injector numbers in, you probably won't notice any diference if you don't have it done.
