Hello, 07 reg E280 auto 95000 mls, 2 x MB and 8 x MB specialist ( Macleods of Hull ) stamps in the book, Shell Helux oil and in excellent condition. I've had an intermittent engine light problem and 2 indies gave me a code reading of P0022 incorrect intake position and P0025 incorrect exhaust position and/or possible balancer shaft problem. I'm told there are 4 sensors and wondered if they were all interchangeable. 1 indie suggested doing all 4 for £280 and the other said swap them to the other bank and if the problem follows then its def the sensor at fault. My opinion is replace the faulty one at £25 + labour and see what happens. Yuotube shows the sensors to be very accessible and I'm capable of doing such a job myself as long as there's no diagnostic checks involved after fitting. I've had the car since January and its happened 4 times (1) lasted 4 days (2) lasted 2 days (3) lasted 5 miles (4) lasted 2 miles and each time went off on its own and not been on for about 4 weeks. Thank you Jim

If it hasn't been on for four weeks, I would be tempted to leave it alone. I had a similar problem with the EML on a Volvo. It came on as I was driving to the South of France, stayed on for a month as I travelled through Switzerland and Germany and went off about ten miles from my home. It never came on again.
