Twice now the car has done a little shudder and the engine light comes on for a day or so then goes off. This happens when sat idling. As yet I have not put a code reader on it, so maybe silly asking first. The light will go off itself in a day or so. Any ideas?

Hi
Is the 'shudder when idling' present all the time the engine light stays ON ?
Also, is it a manual transmission car ?

2) P200A-002 B2/5 (Hot MAF Sensor) Short Circuit to Ground P0102
3) B2/5 (Hot MAF Sensor) Plausibility error Mass Air Flow Sensor/Throttle valve/Intake Manifold Pressure (P0101)
4) P2029-001 Self adaption of mixture at rich stop (Tendency towards lean)
5) P2029-002 Self adaption of mixture at rich stop (Tendency towards Rich)
6) P201C-001 The mixture is too rich in the part load range (P0172)

If it is this breathe pipe, where do I find it? If it is under the engine air filter box, how does that come off?

It is a split second shudder then the light comes on and the car runs as normal.

If it is the top air hose, its an easy repair. If its the bottom 2 hoses where the valve is, then its a bit more of an involved job which requires removing the inlet manifold.

Well I did not get chance to investigate this, but it has not happened again in about 5 months, so I will wait and see.
