before I try and retrieve it, its trapped at the back of the garage behind a workbench.
Its the heavy duty one that does fold flat, it has wheels and hold the Panaoramic Glass top vertically.

It was if I remember correctly fairly expensive, as they didnt advise using the cheaper light weight one with a glass panoramic lid.

It was in perfect condition, but who knows now.

I just wondered could it be sold, i.e. Is it worth the effort to get it out.
Not being uber lazy, but the garage is stacked with inherited stuff!
But I do want my garage back lol

If you think its sellable ... any idea of a reasonable price ?

Thanks, had a quick look at it .. and it looks pristine still.
It also looks a lot heavier duty than the ones I could see on ebay.

Oh well will try and extract it over the weekend, and will see what it goes for.
Seems stupid to take it down to the skip, as it was only used for 3 summers.

Would be interested to see a photo of it, recently moved and looking for hardtop storage solutions.

If you do take it to the skip, let me know which one! ;)

Got the SLhardtop stand out today, it was at the back of the garsge.
The good news is it all looks fine ... not got rusty
Looks as new :)
The bad news is by the time I got it out, it was too dark to photograph outside.
I will post pictures tomorrow as soon as its stopped raining.

Good news no rust, frame is pretty much as delivered new.

Not so good on one upright. A 20mm chunk of foam has broken. Its actually part that doesnt bear on the hardtop, but needs replacing.
The lower section has dented foam, which actually dents like this the first time you use it. Being over cautious, I always put some extra foam on that bit.

The other good news is I am pretty sure I have some high density foam ... the same stuff used and some 3M double tape to secure it.
If I was selling it on ebay I would do it first.

Replaced the foam pads, with the better quality closed cell foam I used to place on the rack for additional support/protection. Slightly wider and thicker ... so willmdo the job perfectly.
Kept the old ones so you can see the improvement.

Still cant post pictures?

Anyone who wants a pic please pm me.

For someone with an SL, I would say it would be a very valuable piece of kit, especially as W129s are starting to go up in value.

Very useful, as maximises space, and is easy to place it on. And can take the weight; the lightweight version really skitters around ... and it would be a real mare if it toppled over .. can you still get the panoramic glass ??
My friend had a hoist, and he found it still needed 2 people to ensure those lugs didnt massacre the bodywork as you guide them in. I hated helping him ... horrible responsibility.
