jammed drinks holder

Hi.....new to this site & forum after recently purchasing a 2004 SL 350 for some fun in the sun !!

Wondering if anyone can assist/advise on how to unjam the retractable R/H side drinks holder from the centre console ??

Ive tried to prise it out but dont want to over force & cause damage !!

Ask the dealer for advice . If it's still under warranty as you will have 3 months at least ??

Was a private sale & the guy i purchased it from didnt even know where the drinks holders were !!

It might just be a DVD slot ... sorry, I've had way too much champers this afternoon.
My wife should know the reason, I'm just glad to be let free and keep popping those corks ...

As above, the right hand cover is just that. A cover. The drinks holder is on the left side (assuming we are talking about a RHD car).

Yip only one drinks holder in that model despite the huge price!

Yes fooled me too. "Both" ours were stuck closed which is what foxed me. Freed the left one and finally found out there isn't a right hand one. Silly thing is that the owners manual shows both. I suppose you could fit another from a left hooker although I'm not sure there is sufficient room for the drivers side to fold out completely.

My R Class is the very first car I've owned in nearly 40 yrs of driving that has cup holders ...... I've never thought I was missing out
