C250 cdi
Hello all,

I am the proud owner of a 62 plate c250 cdi coupe. I've had it for about 8 hours and I have to say I am loving it! Here are my early observations:

1. It's so good looking, inside and out.
2. Goes very well (I only had a 1.4ltr Seat Ibiza before).
3. Playing with the settings is like getting a new mobile, endless possibilities!
4. I need to buy a becker map pilot for it.
5. I'm glad I went for this and not the A5.

Now as I'm officially part of the gang, is there anything I should be looking to do to it, or little features I might not know about?

Thanks

Hello all,

Thanks

Check that it's had a gearbox oil and filter change, if due!

No longer own a Mercedes Benz
Congratulations on the purchase! Enjoy it. What mileage has it covered? Any pics?

At the risk of teaching you how to suck eggs: take it easy on bends for a little bit to get used to the power delivery as it'll be completely different to your old Ibiza which was a light front wheel drive car.

Hello, welcome and congrats on the purchase! Very nice car you have there.

+1 on the driving advice, rear wheel drive autobox with huge torque compared to your last car.

When you come to a stop in heavy traffic or at a junction, press hard and hold the brake pedal for a second until HOLD appears on the speedo multi function display. Hey presto, no transmission creep.

Great Christmas present.

First time I went round a roundabout in mine I gave it a little gas and round came the back end. Far more instant power than I was used to. Eased off, straightened up and have never looked back, good job it wasn't a 500.

Enjoy it, I smile every time I get into mine

Wow, I nearly forgot to check the thread before going for another drive haha!

Thanks for you advice about the driving, I am taking my time getting used to it! I want to cruise not race anyway! I have ordered the becker off ebay, complete with 2016 maps preloaded!

The car has done 56k miles and I'll throw a pic on in a minute but she is filthy!

Thanks for the hold advice too, luckily the salesman did show me that before I drove the 3 hours home!

Check that it has had the gearbox fluid and filter changed at 37500 miles if it was required with your car , I think some newer cars have changed this to near 70000 miles

Thanks I'll look into the gearbox and the polish!

Random one and probably the wrong thread to post it in but . . . I've connected my phone via Bluetooth, I can make and receive calls but am I assuming that no messages or anything will come up as I haven't got command?

You can only get messages with Comand online , even then it reads the message to you which can be hilarious ! ( needs to be connected to the iPhone via a personal hot spot)
