Aleem, yes I took a look at you tube and it looks just as I thought, hopefully I will never need to open it again once I get it back from Malcolm.

Well I have fixed it, and all three buttons working, it is not in good shape so look after it.

I have fitted a nylon block with the catch removed, this will mean that it will just slide out when you get the new case, no knife needed. I have fitted a case 10 x better than yours was. I will enclose a new nylon block.

The next thing is there were CR2032 batteries in the key, you cannot use them as they are too fat and strain the case and PCB. You can only fit CR2025 batteries, I have put two in but I do not know the age of them. also fitted another battery carrier as the old one all strained

If got the same labour rates as Mercedes I could buy a new car after repairing a few of these keys

Strange that I have loved every working day of my working life from 1950 till 2000, these days I hate going in there, its a kind of history best left in the past.

Your key will be the last one that I fix, as all parts used up, so the end of me fixing them.

I have fixed your other key, One of the photo cells was missing and I have replaced it.

The case I have fitted is not wonderful, but OK as a spare, you could fit a new one.

You could if you wish buy a new case on Ebay and have it delivered to me, and the whole thing will still cost less than ¼ the cost of a new key, the PCB in yours is in good shape
