Just got the key and it is working as it should be, and thanks for providing a temp key case. I will buy a new case from ebay. Thank you so much for doing a fine job and please respond to my PM i sent 2 days a go.

All you can do is to return it to me and I will remove the coil and refund all your cost, and I will return it.

This was the one where you had broken up the old case to get into it, as I said the photo cell had been knocked off as well as the coil. There could be other damage beyond what I can check for.

hi Malcolm, well that is a real blow for me, looks like im back to one key again, or buy a new one, but thanks for all your effort, is it worth me sending it back to you for you to send it back to me again ?, as the post comes to over a fiver and I assume the new coil is only in that region, if you want you can dock a fiver off of the 42, or if you would sooner me send it back to you I will do, it entirely up to you. thanks Malcolm. eddie

I can double check my work, the coils cost me £30, I will refund your postage if you send it back, you do have a choice when I return it, you could send it to Mark where he will fit the ECU to a new key much cheaper than the MB key.

It would have been easier if the photo cell had not been broken off, they were never made to be hand soldered, they only measure 2mm x 2mm

I can double check my work, the coils cost me £30, I will refund your postage if you send it back, you do have a choice when I return it, you could send it to Mark where he will fit the ECU to a new key much cheaper than the MB key.

Malcolm, key went into post to you first thing this morning, so you should get it tomorrow, I have put 2 new batteries into it as it had 2 odd sized and totally flat ones in it. Eddie.

OK, it was your battery carrier and batteries as I did not even take them into the workshop, they would not have unlocked the car if they were flat.

they did not unlock the car ! until I replaced the batteries, but they are new ones now and they will unlock the doors. thanks Malcolm.

I have my limits, I buy the keys for £30, take them apart and remove the coil,not easy as they are only on a ferrite core, take the next key apart and remove the remains, solder in the new coil, test it as far as I can and wrap it up and post it some £4.50, drive to post office all for the grand sum of £7.50

New batteries cost me £6, not exactly a get rich quick job.
