Ok,

This is going to be a stupid question, BUT here goes anyways.....

I have keyless entry, so how the hell do I wash and wax the car without it arming or disarming the car everytime I go near the door....... I could leave the keys in the house etc but then will I not set off the alarm when I pressure wash/lean on the car etc?!?

Is there a simple solution to this ?

Not daft, but....yes leave the keys inside the house after having unlocked and opened the drivers door and closed again (otherwise it will lock again and arm). Simples, I do this all the time

I just take the start/stop button out and that stops my doors locking/unlocking when the water hits the door handle.

Just pull on the button. Then you can put your key in.

On early cars there is a button on the top of the gear selector. Later cars have a button in the dash. The button conceals a 'normal' MB key slot. If you pull the button the keyslot is revealed (in case of keyless go failure) .

Ah ok so open the stop/start button to insert the key and leave it in the car - I had visions of it locking the doors with the key in and me out :D

You cannot lock the car with the keyless go key in the car - the car will detect the key and refuse to lock. Same with the boot.
