LCD climate controller for E300TD 1998

would anyone happen to know how to replace the LCD controller? is it a 5 minute job or should i book a weeks holliday from work?

If you just want to take the control unit out you need the keys, £1.00 from MB or ICE shops, you just push one into each side into the slots

does it just slide out then? and i dont have to dismantle the dash as i first thought? i guess there is just one plug to connect

Yes it just slides out and you take off the 2 connectors on the rear, and that is all there is to it, may only be 1 plug
