I some seen some Mercedes and indeed some other cars with lights showing a blue tint, do those cars have special bulbs that give this blue colour and can anyone tell me the correct ones for my 2004 C Class 220CDI?.

looking at the front of your car, are you lenses clear with projector type fitments inside or are the just normal like other cars?

another way to check wold be take the rear off the lamp unit and if the bulb has a big box on the rear then its HID (aka Xennon) if it just has a push in connector then it's just a normal hallogen bulb.

What your seeing on other cars is a blub with a blue ish tint at the end of the bulb, they normally cost a bit more and look slightly whiter but the light output is normally not as good as the normal ones.

2004 C class Classic? Almost certainly halogens..

But to confirm, does your light switch look like this?

If so, definitely halogen, manual level adjustment thumbwheel...

If it looks like this..

then xenons, no manual level adjustment and headlamp washer button

Headlight problem

I didn't have problem as such I just fancied replacing my existing lamps with the one's that give off a blue tint but didn't know which one's to buy but thanks to the help I got from members I do.
