MB dealer to look at paint bubble

I've just had a call and MB are prepared to do the work for free. Great result.

Don't want to burst your bubble (see what I did there?), but I had paint blisters on my CLK at only 4.5 years old which MB repaired for free. At 6 years old it was back getting done again as the problem reappeared after only 18 months. Second repair lasted till it was 12 years old though.

No worries. I'm getting the whole length of a new panel fitted, this is the panel that runs along side of the panoramic roof.

Yep, over in Staverton, the chap I dealt with seemed really helpful. Do you go there much? I can sit have a coffee and drool over the white C63.

Not too often hopefully, unless the car breaks...lol
They are alright there. Although won't pick your car up for free, even of the service is over £700.
Ask them to fit you a Mercedes Me adapter whilst you are there, mine was free.

I'll ask, won't hold out much hope!

All done, only took 30 mins. Not sure what it would have cost, probably not cheap.

I said this to the guy, and he gave me the "this is for under body and chassis". I've read loads from other owners, I am not expecting much. But, he did say they have repaired some before as an act of good faith.

Its for rust that comes from within!
I.e. not caused by an external breach .. such as a stone chip.
If the bubble is intact. Tell! Yes I said Tell him to do it or you will see him in court .. he will do it!

Work was all completed by them at their cost. I just had to wait a week for the decision. To be fair they were really good to deal with, and the assessor agreed with everything I said. I just found it odd that the previous owner didn't get it done, as they kept the FMBSH up to date.
