Mercedes AMG GT-R Stage 1 remap

Customer who we tuned his C63 AMG Estate for came back in today for software calibration work to be carried out on his AMG GT-R which is in pictures and person truly breath taking!!!

The styling is just so focused for performance in the aero depart and the way it sits so low and very very wide gives makes for a very aggressive stance.

Running the Bosch MED17.7.5 which now we access via OBD port not that it's an issue as ECU is situated under the bonnet.

Car has more to give as it currently only has 1800 miles on the clock and rarely driven in anger as the first 8-9 runs the AMG GT-R was making more and more power stock with the cats really clearing out for idle driving.

Gaining +54bhp and +112nm will be back in a few months for testing after engine beds in more and possible sports cats or turbo upgrade!!!

There are a few of these running in GT3 mode at Bathurst Oz 12 hour in 2 weeks time. Be interesting to see how they go.

When I was collecting my Smart from Mercedes in Manchester there was a 6 month old SLS sat in the car park out the back, I was told it had been purchased by a gentleman going through a divorce and he wanted that finalised before he brought it into service... ~£165K at the time is quite an asset to keep out of a divorce...

Yes I bet the race going version is a weapon! A friend of mine is the Pro driver in a Pro/Am endurance series running the GT4 version which is based off the AMG GTS and I get to hang around that a few times a year and that is a fast car for sure so the GT3 GT-R must be mega!!!

Been to that race twice but playing couch potato this year. We have a full coverage on free to air TV luckily. Love the pre-dawn start with the light strafing the sky as they climb the mountain.
