Hi,

Paint has started to peel of my standard alloys.

Would anyone recommend getting them re-done or strip them and leave them just as the bare aluminium.

Powder coating gives a far more durable finish.
With powder coating a fine powder is sprayed by electrostatic attraction onto the wheel. The wheel is then baked in an oven the the powder lets onto the surface of the wheel and re-hardens.
Painting is less durable and the finish will depend on the the paint, the operator and the drying process.
