Sorry to start a fresh thread to mention this again but i just wanted to put it out there since iv recently advertised the car for sale and was suprised by the interest i gained. So i thought id check here first to see if anyone might be interested in the car/wheels/parts who will genuinely appreciate it.

For any new readers its actually a C280 Sport in disguise :p

I will list it here and provide pics for everyone to see - id even be as bold as to say; shes worth a look even if your not interested!

Full listing:

Firstly, thanks for looking and im sorry to say the car is not actually a Brabus but does have some modifications, hence the title.

The car is a Mercedes C Class, specifically the C280 Sport (W202) it was built in 1996 but not registered until 2002 so logbook reads as 2002 (Declared brand new at first registration).

The car itself is not really the selling point here - but all parts/additions are worth selling off before she goes but i will give a full car list none the less.

2.8 litre petrol engine and 4 speed automatic gearbox with economy and sports mode (expensive mode!).

Cracking straight 6 engine on RWD transmission. i only ever run the car on premium fuel

165k on the clock with a shed load of old MOTs

Remote central locking (1 key)

Alarm/immobilised (battery run flat within 2 weeks of sitting still but will charge it before any viewing)

Colour: Dark mettalic grey (odd colour, i havent seen it before, essentially a darker version of the gunmetal grey paint scheme) With full black sports leather interior. In near perfect condition, including all door cards without a single rip or tear - if i wanted to be really fussy, i could say it is a little faded in areas but a good polish would bring it out absolutely perfect. Both front seats are not electrically adjusted - can remove to sell if desired

Tax until the end of next month and MOT expire on the 4th of this month (4/10/2011) I was using this car daily for work until last week at 50 miles a day and i can honestly say its a very solid car, which hasnt put a foot wrong with me. There are some issues i will mention later but dont believe it would take too much to put it through another MOT comfortably.

The car drives very well, with the one exception of a judder/vibration through the car at about 65-70mph, it dissapears from 75-80 but comes back at higher speeds - but from standing, put the accellerator to the floor and she will ease up to 100+ mph with plenty of power still there through all 4 gears. I cant say iv actually timed it but id say she still makes 100mph around 20s which isnt bad for a 15 yeard old car that weighs 1.6 tonnes!

Power steering and air conditioned (never tried/used it)

Electric windows (all 4 working) and mirrors (both work but one has the mirror taped in as its not an official one) Electric sunroof tilt/slide all working with no leaks

Has standard tape head unit with CD autochanger in the boot (doesnt work, has power but motor seems faulty) Currently have a USB/CD player installed (seen in pic)

4 Brabus 17" alloy wheels with 3 excellent tyres, 1 that needs replacing soon. Their in pretty good condition, Brabus logo slightly worn from refurbs - some are better than others but have pictured all 4 to show, inevitably curbing but still look very smart. Probably the most desirable part of the car - from an ultra rare C124 300CE-24 Brabus Q3 worth reading some forum posts on this! Nice pics here: http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/spotted-ebay/109813-rare-c124-300ce-24-brabus-q3.html

And i have to say, i think the wheels look fantastic on the car; and probably would on many other Mercs - especially worth while for anyone building a Brabus replica. Im not expecting silly money for them but am open to offers. Theres 1 wheel that is slightly buckled on the inside part of the alloy (probably causing the cars vibration at speed) but was quoted 50 pounds to knock it back into shape, it was probably caused by a pot-hole (makes me wonder where the money we pay for road tax goes!).

AMG exhaust

Also has a Brabus plaque under the bonnet - i dont know what its from, so have just pictured it

The good: the only work iv had to do on the car is replace an engine coil and the spark plugs. Also had the wiring loom repaired by a fully license mechanic with a Mercedes repair kit. Was running excellent even managing an average of 30mpg driven sensibly

The bad: When standing still (i always warm the car before driving) the exhaust smokes a bit but stops when accelerating and on the go. Im sure its slowly burning oil as i have kept a close eye on the levels and seen it slowly lower. Shes also leaking transmission fluid - could be 1 of 2 things, the connecting hose to the radiator or the radiator itself (only started about a month ago, so i have just kept it top up when i drove). Exterior wise, she has suffered from the elements over the years, with alot of rust dotted about; the front right arch has almost rust away completely, bottom corners of doors, around boot lock etc all regular problem are seen in the pictures

Overall its a shame she needs so much work as the car was a real joy to drive. As i mention, im realistically just selling off her parts now - would love to have done the work as theres not many C280s left on the road anymore and it really was a stunning example

Feel free to get in touch through email with a contact number if you would like me to give you a call to know more. The car is located in South Wales (14miles out of Cardiff) if anyone was interested in viewing it. Please be patient if i dont reply immediately, i dont have a computer at home and work most days.

I have upload some pics here:

Thanks for viewing

There it is, almost as its listed - id appreciate any feedback at all from here since most you guys know alot about these cars than i do

Iv priced it 500+ on one site and £500 on another but the add did cut off the bottom part of £750 for the lot - but if its what im offered, £500 might just be the selling price so anyones welcome to have a punt

Thanks again for reading, sorry its a bit long winded but i tried to be honest, genuinely sad to see her go. My email is: boagrias@hotmail.com
