Not sure what the big panic is?
Hit the lock button twice before going into the house & the key fob is disarmed so no signal for anyone to pick up.
Or keep the key in a Faraday pouch or biscuit tin, again no signal can be picked up.
Or, do nothing and this video is the result, we all have a choice.

Need to do it on each key though, so if you have a spare - Double tap that one as well as the signal is there on your spare if you don't. You only need to do this once, as the key only emits signal again once that key has pressed unlock.

There has been reports locally of people using scanners to jam the lock signal when people leave their cars, meaning that cars are left unlocked and the thieves then steal any valuables. Also some ppl cannot get their fob key to work when they return to the car.
So not sure if these jammers are changing the frequency of the car fitted pick up sensor.
The advice is to lock the car and then check the doors are locked before heading off shopping.

Not sure if this was covered before but Ive just learned that these scanner type boxes can transmit and receive codes up to 30 metres! So for those who take the keys away from the front door and take them elsewhere in the home they can still be read! So it’s the faraday pouch or metal tin option is best

Yes I was late to the party on this one, its not new unfortunately.
My youth who is more up to date on these things is confident that somebody simply following you will crack your key.
Better get an old Krooklok to annoy them for 30 seconds.
