ML 270 Injector Seat Cutter

Hi Guys,

Following the inlet manifold and gearbox packing up, I now have the dreaded black death on cylinder 5 . Beginning to wonder why I don't just get rid of the ****** thing!

Have all the stretch bolts and washers ready but need to re-cut the injector seats.

Does anyone have a seat cutter set that I could rent from them for the weeknd? Happy to cover postage and some beer money.

Also, would you recommend re-cutting the seats on the cylinders that are still ok, or will I get away with just sticking a new washer in?

You can buy them from MB. Comes in a sealed packet containing a internal wire brush for the bores and for cleaning the base.

You dont need to cut the seat if there is no sign of corrosion. Usually its the seat on the injector thats the issue, not the head. I have seen people cut seats when there is no need too.

Enjoy getting that out with the coolant tank in the way!!!
