    Hello..
I wanted to replace the stereo in my 02 ml & have a double din clarion unit; wxz468rmp but not sure what adapters I need or if even possible. it currently has an audio 10 unit fitted with a double and single iso plug plus another that appears to contain 2 led lights, there is also a loose cable with small round female plug on the end? plus 2 aerial plugs?
Have read things about having to replace the amp etc in order for this to work?

    Thanks..
called them, helpful, but apparently I have fibre optic as I feared, thus they cant help.
Is there a simple way of upgrading to a better stereo? you would think they would fit something half decent to begin with if it cant be easily changed!

You would have to totally rewire the car so new wires and new speakers all round.

have you asked www.comandonline.co.uk, Alfie is a forum member

Will try, looking prohibitively expensive, out of interest, would the mb command nav unit plug straight in?

I managed to find one company to fit this stereo but located at the other end of the country.
So.. I bought a command nav unit, hoping that would be a direct replacement, however, the double iso plug fits but the single plug is different to the original unit, it powers up, have radio but no cd/nav etc, about to put the audio 10 back in and admit defeat, unless anyone has any ideas?

On my 2001 ml 430 I removed single din head unit and fitted a single din with a powered out touch screen with nav and blue tooth etc,so i can still sit my mob in pocket below and connect my amazon music,I bought a generic adapter from eBay this plugged into my Mercedes plugs and I had to cut and hard wire to loom from head unit, all works well but don’t have the multi disc in boot eny more. Now looking to upgrade the rear window Ariel and booster set up

I have seen Mercedes specific android units with built in fibre optic adaptors.
    Is it MOST or D2B?
