Ml320 front subframe bushing

    Hi I have just bought a Ml320 w164 and need to replace a bushing in the front subframe, do I need any special tools before I tackle it ?

    Can't help, I'm afraid, but I'm interested in what symptoms you had that pointed to the Subframe Bush.

    Rubber had burst round bottom of bush and rusted metal bushing sleeve. But no knocks.

    That is one big job, wouldn't want to tackle that without it being on a lift with all the right supporting equipment.

    Ok thanks Steve, I have a lift and got it done yesterday with a hub puller some long nuts and bolts and washers.
    Job done :)
