ML55 W163 2001 shock absorbers..advise please.

The standard shocks on my ML55 2001 are becoming a little tired..

Going to replace the front and hopefully the rear..There seams to be lots on the market
so looking for some advise on which to go for.

I don't really want to pay dealer prices..Although i did read somewhere that finding the right
rear shocks can be a problem..

Any help out there please...

I wouldn't go past Bilsteins, particularly on such a beast. Nice and firm and good body control.

Bilstein do both front and rear, ECP list them at £168 each front and £440 each rear but that is a combined spring and shock unit.

Worth checking on prices ex USA too. Often very much cheaper.
