Just make sure you get an engine post the timing chain sprocket/pulley issue !

You dont need more hassle!

Note engine number must be after:-
  • M273 Engine Serial No. 2739..30 088611 and also Bad magnets Camshaft sensors up to 30-193592 for the M273.
Could this be why your con rod burst through ?
Was your engine no before this?
Btw I have no idea what happens with these faults ... my top Mechanic just said avoid any engine with this like the Plauge!
Just thinking allowed ... timing chain sprocket ?? Could the chain jump ... valve smashes into the piston ... and con rod bursts out the side???

Be interesting to know if yours was an early engine.
