Lovely looking car...

I'm definitely going to end up with one of these if I can ever bear to part with the little 190. :)

Looks B.E.A.Utiful, although if you want my honest opinion I'd go with either the upright star or the grille emblem, but not both. Of course, you go with whatever floats your boat :)

Hi

D'you mind me asking: are those wings gernuine, or pattern?
Reasin I ask is that my W124 saloon needs new wings and I'm having a lot of hassle with ordering them from my local M-B dealer.
So I'm considering pattern ones. If these are indeed pattern, where did they come from?
If they are genuine, any tips on how to speed up my order will be welcome.

Many thanks!

Beautiful. I also would love a 124 derivative but think I'd probably prefer the 300CE. A nice 124 is a bit special. The first MB I drove belonged to my mates boss and was a 124.

Pattern wings, Fitted nicely. I was going to buy Mercedes wings 250 pounds each, and only two days waiting, but the price put me of. We paid 75 pounds each for the pattern ones, take about an hour each side to fit. Spent two weeks, four coats of paint each, and two coats of under seal before I fitted them for the paint shop. I do have a brand new n.side still in its original packing for 50 pounds free postage. I was going to put it on our other 124, but sold it ,as I am know unable to do cars which I enjoyed doing, sorry I can not remember what company I bought the wings from. If you do decide to change your wings, and have not fitted them before, let me no and I will talk you through it.

Or do what i did and purchased a pair of used original wings. Picking up rust free wings is time consuming the one on my car in the picture took 2 years to find but when i did it was just a bolt on job .The driver side i have just fitted after it was painted .But i must return to the paint shop for further paint it is to light .Looks to me like it had the larger metalic flakes this made it look light. A video on youtube on how to remove the front wings of a W124 will help you if need be.
